JIPMER
stands for the Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research. They conduct examination for the admission to the B.Sc Nursing, Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology(BASLP), and B.Sc Allied Medical Sciences. Know the important dates about JIPMER Exam 2019

Given below are the dates scheduled for various events of JIPMER B.Sc entrance exam 2019.
  • Online registration begins from the last week of April 2019.
  • Last week of May 2019 is the last week of submitting the application form.
  • The second week to last week of June 2019 is the provided date for the issuance of the admit card. 
  • The exam is expected to be held on last week of June.
  • 2019 JIPMER Entrance exam merit list will be published in the first week of July 2019.
  • The third week of July 2019 will be having first counselling.
  • From last week of July JIPMER starts taking admission formalities.
  • The issue of the letter for hostel and admission letter and accommodation facilities procedures will start from the last week of July 2019. 
  • Commencement, of course, will be done by the first week of August 2019. 
  • Last week of August 2019 is scheduled for the second round of counselling.
  • The second week of September 2019 is scheduled for the third round of counselling.
  • Final counselling will be held last week of September.
  • In the same week(last week of September 2019) admission will close.

What is the eligibility criteria for applying?

For a candidate to apply for JIPMER entrance examination must follow the criteria given by the JIPMER. The criteria of JIPMER for applying B.Sc nursing course is given below. Best nursing centre in Angamaly makes students aware of each date of examination.
  • The candidate must pass the higher secondary examination or any other course which is equivalent to its Physics, Chemistry, Biology(Botany and Zoology), English. English should be less than the level of syllabus prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training as recommended by the National Committee on Education.
  • Before the admission gets finalised the candidate who has passed the qualifying examination should submit the certificate. New Delhi is essential for admission to JIPMER B.Sc courses on obtaining such an eligibility certificate from the association of Indian Universities.
  • The aspirant must have passed the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and English individually. Also, the aspirant must possess at least 50% marks in these subjects when taken together at the qualifying examination.
  • Applicants who belong to the scheduled caste or scheduled tribes or any other backward caste has a concession of 40% in marks. That is they need to obtain 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and English when taken all together. 
  • Minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, English is the requirement of OPH candidates in general category. 
  • Those candidates who have studied or pursuing Medical Laboratory Assistant in the Vocational stream are not applicable for B.Sc nursing course.
  • Only Indian National candidates can apply in JIPMER
  • The candidate must possess at least 17 years of age at the time of registration. 
Know about the application form
  • Application for JIPMER B.Sc Entrance Exam 2019 will only be available in online mode in jipmer.edu.in website.
  • If you find the online registration form next step is to register in that form by filling all necessary details in it.
  • As per the specifications, the candidate must upload a scanned photograph and a signature.
  • Only online applications are applicable by JIPMER no other application submission process are accepted. 
  • Credit card/debit card/net banking are the three different available payment modes.
  • It is advisable to take a print out after final submission of the application because this will be useful for future references.

How to trace Admit card?

JIPMER 2019 B.Sc course admit card is available only through online. Applicants who have successfully submitted their application form in all aspects with complete payment of fees can avail admit card by entering the user ID and password. Admit card along with a valid ID proof and the photocopy of the same is mandatory for the candidate to bring for the exam.

What is the exam pattern for JIPMER?

This is conducted as a computer-based test(CBT) held online. The exam pattern is:
  • English is the medium of examination
  • Questions will be MCQ type
  • There will be hundred number of questions provided.
  • One and half hours is the exam duration.
  • One mark each is awarded for every correct answer. 
  • As prescribed by the state board of higher secondary and CBSE the questions for entrance examination will be based on the syllabus of 10th and 12.
  • Physics section consists of 20 questions
  • Chemistry will be provided with 20 questions
  • Biology with 40 questions
  • 10 questions from English language and comprehension
  • 10 questions from logical and quantitative reasoning.
How to check with the results?

JIPMER upload the merit list of B.Sc Entrance exam 2019 in its official website. All those who have attended the exam can check their result in the website. The percentile and rank of the candidate in each section will be categorized separately. As per the seat availability and rank in the merit list, the candidate will be provided with admission. The minimum percentile needed for different categories is given below:

All About counselling

Those candidates who made their name in the merit list are eligible for counselling. It is mandatory to attend counselling physically in specified dates with relevant documents in proof of date of birth, academic background and category. The required documents for appearing counselling are:
  • The original hall ticket with seal and sign of the invigilator.
  • Letter showing the rank
  • Documents to prove the date of birth(SSLC or birth certificate)
  • Pass certificate of the qualifying examination.
  • Character and conduct certificate from the head of the previous institute last studied. 
  • Residence certificate issued by the Revenue Authority
  • If applicable, category certificate
  • Migration certificate
  • Transfer certificate
  • If the candidate is the resident of that particular state then he/she should possess residence certificate
  • Submit medical certificate if he/she is an OPH candidate
  • Recently taken six colour photographs of the candidate.
About admission

Availability of seats, the category of candidates, and merit marks are the major criterion for availing admission. The candidate must report on the same date mentioned in the admission letter, if he/she fails to do so then they will forfeit the right of admission. If the authority gets to know that the provided information or documents are false then they have the full right to nullify the admission irrespective of the stage of the study of that course. Every year seats may vary, last year admission seats were as follows:
  • 75 total seats for B.Sc nursing in which 7 seats reserved for male students and the rest 67 seats for the female candidates.
  • A total of 4 seats for BASLP courses.
  • 74 available seats for B.Sc Allied Medical Sciences. That is 30 seats for medical science technology and all others with 4 seats. 
B.Sc Nursing (BASLP) courses will take around Rs.10,500 or 11,000 and B.Sc A.M.S will take around a total cost of Rs.10,000 for completing the course.
