Things To Read & Review Before The Exam

• Review nursing responsibilities, delegations and collaborative care. Also, try to familiarize yourself with the independent functions of a nurse which includes both the interdependent and collaborative roles. It is more likely that you will face questions from this topic, so you should able to differentiate between all the 3 functions.

• Go through a quick review of the anatomy and physiology of the human system. Also, make sure that you review all the diseases affecting those systems and the list of available treatment options.

• Read the fundamentals of nursing and nursing responsibilities as it also related to patient care. Also, try reviewing practice guidelines and policies as it affects healthcare and nursing care services.

• Review nursing independent, interdependent and collaborative roles. Go through infection control principles

• Try practising questions from the NCLEX RN book -  Saunder NCLEX-RN Questions and Answers especially from the 5th, 6th and 7th editions

• Review how nurses sit in their roles as a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• Make sure you look at infection control practices in disease prevention

3 Things To Follow During Your HAAD Exam Preparation

Don’t Take Stress

Do not take any kind of unnecessary worry regarding the exam. Most of the students who have practised and prepared well for the exam usually pass in their first attempt with a good HAAD exam passing score. This ranges from almost 80 - 90 %, but still, make sure you’re all prepared for the exam. 

If you find yourself in anxious or stressful situations, simply close your eyes and take a few breaths. This will help clear your mind form all that stress load. As you open your eyes you will feel much more relaxed and ready to take the exam.

Preparation Is A Must

You need to practice really hard to equip yourself with all the all knowledge you will eventually need for your exam. Make sure that your practice routine involves going through as many sources as possible. Now while you may be able to gather up a lot of information from several books, the most effective way to ensure that it all that knowledge stays in your mind is by practising it. Try solving as many HAAD exam questions as possible.

High Level of Dedication

Ensure that you spend a good amount of time for your exam preparations alone. A good majority of the students may take at least two months to prepare for a HAAD exam. And sometimes the study involves a time schedule of atleast 15 hours per week. This way students would be able to go through the maximum amount of topics within this time span.

HAAD exam process before the exam

After arriving at the test centre, there are certain steps that you will go through before beginning the exam -

• You will be required to ‘’Check-in’’ at the reception desk in the Test Centre where you’ll have to provide 2 forms of valid and original identification.

• The test centre staff will verify your appointment time, your identity and will also take a photo of you and collect your signature on an electronic signature pad.

• You will be given the Candidate Rules that contain the terms and conditions to be followed while sitting for the exam. It is also your responsibility to read and understand the terms and conditions of attending a HAAD examination.

• The test centre administrator will provide you with a locker and key to store all you're personal belongings.

• You’re also not allowed to bring personal belonging into the testing room. This includes - books, mobile phones, bluetooth earphones, papers, medicines, pens, pencils, markers, drinks & food of any kind.

During The HAAD Exam Process-

After the initial checks are complete, you will be asked to either wait in the reception area or you will be escorted into the testing room. You will be admitted into the test room and assigned a testing station with a computer, mouse and a keyboard.

• The test centre Invigilator will log you into the testing station and you will be ready to begin the exam. Additional materials like handheld calculators, pens & papers will not be provided. The exam will have an onscreen standard function calculator available for use.

• A short tutorial regarding the exam interface will be available on screen before the exam begins

• While candidates are permitted to take breaks during the exam, the exam will not be halted during the break.

• After completing the exam, you will be escorted out of the testing room and taken to the reception desk to be checked out of the test centre.

• Your HAAD exam result will be given to you immediately. the test centre administrator will give you a printed score Report that will include details of whether you've passed the exam or not.

Finally, your exam results will be sent automatically to the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi.
